When a community driven initiative that so beautifully complemented our business ethos presented itself, we did not hesitate to get involved.
In fact, we found that donating a significant amount of the material used to embellish the streets of our town during its annual Art Meander has proved to be one of the highlights of our year.
Through the Barrydale Flags of Hope initiative we saw how our product was used in a process that inspired people from all walks of life to be creative during an otherwise confusing, daunting time.
The added bonus, we learned later, was that these flags of hope would be sold as part of a fundraiser for local charity Net vir Pret – an organisation that takes care of the youth in our village.
It was with a sense of gratitude that we witnessed how a community joined hands and created something spectacular and as we drove through the streets of Barrydale and Smitsville, past the beautifully decorated buildings and open spaces, we could not help but experience a sense of pride in knowing that many of the canvasses were produced by our team of gifted weavers.
A special word of thanks goes out to Michelle Berry who is the driving force behind the Flags of Hope. Thank you for approaching us for support for such a great initiative.
