Hand Woven Warmth Aids Local Early Morning Swimming Club
The team which consists of Karoo Art Hotel owner Rick Melvill and journalist Mickey Mentz have been at it since October 2021 and in this time they have learned that there is no substitute for quality when it comes to the equipment they use.
When water temperatures started to drop during autumn, the duo received a life-changing sponsorship from Barrydale Hand Weavers. Where they used to rely on coffee to regain their body temperature, the addition of a hand woven towel and blanket changed the game completely.
